I think this is a great idea! For those of you who weren't in New Orleans, this idea is that youth organizations across the nation collaborate on one project, that project being a national walk day that raises awareness of childhood obesity. Each city would have it's own walk. This could be HUGE, but we need as much support as possible from all youth from all cities.
Let me know if you're interested! Post on this page and sign up or ask questions or give advice. It's easy, just make a google account and post (it takes 5 seconds...).

LOVE IT!! I think this is such a great idea (not that I had anything to do with its creation... =))
Seriously though, this could be huge! It would be awesome for the youth of this nation to get recognition for wanting to change our generations unhealthy habits. Especially because our generation is the first (ever) expected to NOT outlive our parents.
I'm in 100%. Let's do it!
I think it's a fabulous idea but has a date been decided yet? My youth council wants to start planning. We're gonna collaborate with other youth councils around our city but we really don't have ay idea how to start. So any advice on how to get started would be AMAZING! :)
The date is still up for discussion. The plan is to have it sometime during the spring or early summer. We talked about having it on National Youth Service Day, but we're not sure if that will conflict with other projects youth might have going. I hope that helps! I'll have more info for you all soon...

This is AWESOME!!! I'm the Director of the DC Youth Advisory Council and we've been talking about doing a Youth Obseity Walk and collaborating with other Washington, DC organizations. Making this national is a powerful way for youth to MAKE SOME NOISE!!!
