The Burleson Mayor's Youth Council had an awesome opportunity to participate in the Burleson Opportunity's Fund Burleson's Rising Stars Event to raise money for the scholarships they give out to seniors. The BOF provides money for seniors in high school that can't afford college, but still want a higher education. The MYC helped stuff bags and generate publicity in the month leading up. That night, the Youth Council helped with the raffle drawings for the VIP members. In all, the event raised a little over $7000 for the Fund! It was a great opportunity and now more kids get the chance to go to college!!
